Ánnámáret selected as official showcase artist in Womex 2023

WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo – is the most international and culturally diverse music meeting in the world and the biggest conference of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, talks, films and showcase concerts. Ánnámáret is happy to announce together with Womex 2023, that we are selected as an official showcase artist this year. The whole Ánnámáret group with Anna Näkkälärvi-Länsman - yoik, Turkka Inkilä - electronics, Ilkka Heinonen - Carelian bowed lyre jouhikko and Marja Viitahuhta - video art, is really exited to join the large Womex family.

Celebrating creativity and depicting the vast amount of musical diversity the world has to offer, the Womex Showcases place the spotlight on thrilling acts from around the globe. Whether they are ground-breaking new talents or established maestros, the Showcases highlight everything from the rediscovery of musical traditions to the very latest in artistic innovation.

Womex 2023 will take place in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain, 25 - 29 October 2023.
