Nieguid duovdagat – Imaginary landscapes documentation

Ánnámáret newest production Nieguid duovdagat – Imaginary landscapes has a documentation available online. Documentation is from the Imaginary landscapes concert from January 2019 in Skábmagovat Indigenous Film Festival. Concert was held in the Sámi Cultural Centre Sajos in Inari, Finland.

Nieguid duovdagat – Imaginary landscapes concert is a combination of something new and something old with ancient and modern musical elements. Vocals in yoik style by Ánnámáret – Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman, Finnish bowed lyre called jouhikko played by Ilkka Heinonen and japanese shakuhatci flute played by Turkka Inkilä mixed with live electronics by Turkka Inkilä makes the original sound of Nieguid duovdagat ensemble. Music is accompanied with video works from media artist Marja Viitahuhta.

Documentation is filmed and edited by Aleksi Ahlakorpi. Concert is produced with the support of Sámi education institute, Skábmagovat Film Festival, Sámi Parliament of Finland and Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
