In her concert Luohteilbmi (Yoik world), Sámi artist Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman makes old yoiks meaningful in today’s world and creates meaning for new yoiks. Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman delves into the concept of a person yoik, turning it into her very own yoik world together with her ensemble. The musicians in the concert are Sami Zimmermann - keyboard and wind instruments, Janne Lappalainen - guitar and mandolinen and Sara Puljula - double bass and percussion.
In the spirit of repatriation, Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman performs old yoiks of his relatives found in the archives and his close people, for whom she has made new yoiks. Yoiker Petrabiret Magga-Vars features the concert as a guest yoiker. Together with Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman these Sámi power women bring the social meaning of yoik even more present in the concert. The concert is Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman’s first doctoral concert.
